A new image for a South Australian icon
30 years experience has made the South Australian Film Corporation an industry leader. The oldest film corporation in Australia, the SAFC have produced timeless classics like 'Storm Boy', 'Breaker Morant' and 'Sunday Too Far Away.'
The SAFC approached de Masi jones to design and produce their top international promotional publication, a guide used solely to sell South Australian locations, nationally and internationally, as potential shooting destinations, raising South Australia's profile as a diverse, accessible and cost efficient state for the film-making industry. We developed the 'Ocean to Outback' concept. The 'Ocean to Outback' publication was unprecedentley well recieved both locally and overseas, going on to win First Place Location Brochure at the prestigious Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) Marketing Awards 2004. After such success, de Masi jones were further commissioned to develop their 'film Maker's' guide and several consecutive annual reports and promotional brochures.
In 2005 the SAFC had decided to invest in a complete rebrand of their image to firmly establish their mark on the international arena. A corporate identity and an accompanying brand usage style guide were developed to steer the SAFC on their mission. The bold colour and unique shape utilised lended itself strongly to their advertising and as a recognisable and unique visual element differentiating them within the industry.
The SAFC continue to work with de Masi jones on growing and evolving their brand and remain a loyal and challenging client.
