Communicating to a wider audience

Chariot Internet aims to bring you the human face of the Internet. As the fifth largest ISP in Australia, they offer a full range of Internet solutions including Broadband, Dial up, Email and Hosting Services. Chariot Limited is a public company, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and was recently ranked in the top 100 companies in SA by 'In Business' Magazine.

de Masi jones were commissioned in 2005 to revitalise the brand, for although the company had grown to be No.5 in Australia, they felt that their image did not reflect this and that the time had come to evolve.

To aid the company, de Masi jones developed a strategy around the concept of 'communication', explaining clearly to our client that being an ISP was not about the services that you provide, or how fast your broadband could travel, but indeed the 'emotional' feelings that people have when they associate your product to their life. In the case of Chariot, they help people to communicate, to learn, to stay in touch with the world and to share all of this with their family.

The strategy we undertook was creating an identity system that clearly defined what the company does, in the emotional context. This is subtle yet obvious as the 'voice bubble' in the letter 'R' grabs your eye when viewing. The entire system was designed around this premise and the materials seen today have adopted this direction.

Our scope of work included corporate identity, style guide and brand manual, signage, uniforms and marketing collateral.
